I've seen several web pages talk about this, but probably the most well-known is at http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Cinema/3117/sociosmurf2.htm. The author, J. Marc Schmidt argues that the Smurfs is a Marxist fable. I'm not sure his conclusions are accurate, but they are certainly food for thought worthy of discussion here. Careful at Schmidt's site.. He is a communist, apparently...
